Promises Kept

Standing Up For all Concord Residents

A central question guides my leadership every day: “If our children are doing well, our community is doing well.” To ensure a high quality of life for all, my focus remains on delivering independent leadership and real results across the essential pillars of our city, because our neighborhoods matter, our families matter, and our quality of life matters.

I protected Concord's future by standing up to powerful special interests, and I supported a return to responsible planning with credible partners. In May we approved a term sheet with the US Navy, a milestone not achieved in the many years prior to my tenure. I continue working hard to ensure independent, resident-focused decision-making.

As the Chair of the Homelessness Strategic Plan Working Group, I actively worked to reduce homelessness through strategic planning and practical, compassionate local action. Homelessness in Concord is down 50% during my tenure due to the hard work of community stakeholders.

Housing affordability is a dire necessity everywhere. I worked hard to thoughtfully balance affordability and options while listening to residents and respecting the unique character and quality of life of Concord’s neighborhoods.

I prioritized responsible budgeting, which is critical to the continued, effective delivery of city services. And I maintained robust support for safe streets and neighborhoods, and supported Concord Police in their community policing initiative.

I've championed community-boosting investments, including a new downtown library for future generations, expanded parks, and family-friendly recreation like bicycling, a favorite of mine. Look for Concord's Pedalfest in September! And enjoy Music and Market this summer!
